TWO persons have been shot by gunmen, who attacked the country home of a former minister of Sports, Damishi Sango, in Danwal village, Ganawuri chiefdom, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was gathered that the two persons shot were among those guarding the former minister’s house and were rushed to the hospital.
It was further learnt that the former state chairman of the PDP, who was in the house when the gunmen arrived in the village, was not hurt.
A resident of the village, Christy Dakum, told The SLIMSMIXTA in Jos on Thursday that the incident happened on Wednesday around 9pm.
Dakum said, “It was around 9pm on Wednesday when we started to hear gunshots around the minister’s house. We know that the former minister was around in the village but we were afraid to go to his house because of the gunshots.”
The spokesman for the state police command, Ubah Ogaba, also confirmed the incident.
