Ahead of the commissioning of the Shared Facility of Zaki Biam International Yam Market between Benue State and the Federal Government, the State Government delegation yesterday carried out inspection of the market.
The state delegation headed by the Hon. Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Barr. Merga Kachina , Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Terver Akase and Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Knowledge Economy, Emmanuel Doughdough yesterday inspected the project to ensure that everything is set for commissioning .
The delegation was received by the Caretaker Chairman, Ukum Local Government, Hon. Ibellogo Tor-Tyokaa and was conducted round facilities at the yam market.
The project has two warehouses, 6,000 shades, an administrative block, a police station, and solar borehole.
The upgraded Zaki Biam International Yam Market project is a Federal Government intervention through the office of the Vice President.
