Itakpa and Echwori communities of Obi Local Government Area of Benue State have reportedly been under siege by Fulani herders since the start of dusk, today.
According to a victim who spoke with this reporter from the bush, the invaders launched the attacks while the people were making preparations for dinner, and members of the communities have long fled for safety.
The victim already feared losing a sibling, whose whereabout could not be established. And, although the number was not ascertained, several deaths have allegedly been recorded at the time of gathering this report.
The general public will be kept abreast as more information of this attack are handy. But the government and relevant security agencies may need to act promptly to curtail casualties.
