Governor Ayade Has Done Well For The People Of CRS To Be Quiet, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo

In a recent media briefing with newsmen in Calabar, Rt Hon Daniel Asuquo alias Dansuki xrayed his activities as a lawmaker in the National Assembly vis-à-vis his ambition for the number one office in the state as Governor come 2023 where he said that Governor Ben Ayade has done well for the people of Cross River State to the quiet.

Dansuki, who has put in 20years into active politics from supportive to active politicking said that he was poised to consolidate on the visions of the three Governors beginning with Mr. Donald Duke who came in with the Tourism drive, Agriculture, big tickets projects and entrepreneur.

With Sen. Liyel Imoke as Governor, he introduced Rural Development, Rural Electrification and consolidated on the Tourism drive through the Submit Hills, Monorail etc. Whereas Ayade's driving force has been the industrialization agenda and agromoney. They are several industries created by Governor Ayade and you can see that people are not complaining about government like they use to do.

He was however quick to point out that entrepreneurship actually started in the time of Donald Duke who decoupled the state from a civil service outlook by the introduction of tourism which breathe a new lease of life to the state and created the avenue for commercialization and agriculture as was evident in the pineapple farms, cashew and castor oil.

He added that, as the Governor come 2023, he will harnessed these visions and project a partnership administration by all stakeholders to consolidate the gains for the state. He advanced that these three visions should not be treated as mutually exclusive but to complements the other.

The law maker further stated that from the things set on ground, his best approach to governance will be the Chinese model who confines themselves to the growth of their technology though with sprinkles of imitation or fake production in order to domesticate the technology. That is, making good use of all that Ayade has done in his industrialization drive to endear him to Cross Riverian thus their silence.

He further added that if elected as Governor of the state, his administration will patch potholes and desilt water channels and gutters. "I won't neglect this important assignment".

When pressed further about the recent rise in communal clashes, Chief Daniel Asuquo attributed it to lack of grassroot governance and representation. He said, "having serve as a council chairman before now, I speak because I know the situation at the grassroot.

Most of the things happening could have been nip in the bud even before their occurrences if we have a viable local government executive in place" He then called for quick constitution of the local government executive as well as the councillors who are the local representation. He finally charged the members of the State House of Assembly to be proactive and be up and doing as they deliver on their mandate to the people.

On the Local Government election slated for 30th May, 2020 Rt Hon Daniel Asuquo said that he owes his party the duty to vote and to ensure that the state remains a PDP state.

"I will go out and cast my vote come Saturday, but like you know litigations and petitions always comes before and after elections where aggrieved parties takes up proceedings at the electoral tribunal, this is one area I don't know or cannot say exactly what will happen".

"Let me however make this clear, contrary to speculations and media reports that there is internal crises in PDP in Cross River State, nothing of such is happening. Whatever rumour people are peddling is just a figment of people's imagination", he concluded.
